Candle Wax

Shop candle wax for container candles, pillars and wax melts from Kerax, a UK wax manufacturer with a history dating back to 1962. Explore soy, coconut, olive, rapeseed, paraffin and hybrid waxes, with individual grades developed for different candle-making applications.

Whether you are developing a new candle range or planning regular production, choose your wax by its intended use, formulation and ordering requirements. Browse the collection for product specifications and bulk candle wax options, or contact our team to discuss wholesale candle wax for your business.

Find the Right Wax for Candle Making

Start with the product you want to make. Wax for a candle poured into a jar has different requirements from wax for a freestanding pillar or a melt removed from a mould. Check the intended application of each grade before choosing your ingredients.

What are you making?

What should you look for?

Products to explore

Candles in jars or tins

A container wax formulated for candles that remain in their vessel.

KeraSoy Container Wax 4130 or EcoCoco ContainerBlend

Freestanding pillar candles

A pillar grade designed for moulded candles.

KeraSoy Pillar Wax 4120

Wax melts and tarts

A formulation specified for wax melts.

Soy Paraffin Melt Blend

Once you have selected a grade, follow its technical guidance and test your complete formulation. For candles, assess the wax, fragrance oil and wick together before moving into larger production runs.

Explore Our Candle Waxes

Our collection brings together plant-based options, paraffin grades and blended formulations. Use the individual ranges to compare products and find a starting point for your candle design.

  • Soy wax: Explore soy candle wax options, including KeraSoy and EcoSoya products, and choose a grade specified for your intended application.
  • Coconut wax: Browse coconut-based formulations, including dedicated EcoCoco container and pillar blends.
  • Olive wax: Discover olive-based candle wax options and check each product's application guidance before ordering.
  • Rapeseed wax: Explore rapeseed-based options for your candle range, with product-specific details to guide your selection.
  • Paraffin candle wax: Compare paraffin grades for candle making, selecting the formulation that matches your container or pillar design.
  • Hybrid waxes: Explore candle wax blends that combine different wax types, including soy-paraffin formulations for containers, pillars and melts.

The wax family is only part of the decision. Two products based on the same raw material can be formulated for different uses, so always check the specific grade.

Candle Wax Bulk Orders and Wholesale Supply

Planning a production run or comparing candle wax suppliers? Review pack sizes, minimum order quantities and delivery arrangements alongside the price of your chosen wax.

For example, the ordering information for KeraSoy Container Wax 4130 specifies a minimum total order of six 20kg boxes and allows a mixture of products to meet that minimum. Its product page also lists quantity price breaks and pallet delivery information. Check the current details for every product in your order, as pallet quantities vary across the range.

For wholesale candle wax enquiries, tell us which products you are considering, your required quantity and your delivery location. If you are still selecting a formulation, include whether you are making container candles, pillars or wax melts.

Contact Kerax about bulk orders.

Wax Manufacturing Experience Since 1962

Kerax was founded in 1962 and is based in Chorley, Lancashire. Our history spans more than six decades of wax blending and manufacturing, providing the background to our range of candle-making materials.

When assessing a product, use the available technical and safety information alongside your own trials. Our KeraSoy product guidance recommends testing wax, fragrance oil and wick combinations: the finished candle needs to be evaluated as a complete product.

Candle Wax FAQs

What is the best candle wax for my candles?

The best choice depends on your candle format and formulation. Start with a wax specified for containers, pillars or melts, then test it with your chosen ingredients. A wax that works well in one candle design may need a different wick or formulation in another.

Can I use the same wax for container candles and pillars?

Only where the product guidance confirms it is suitable for both. Container and pillar waxes are developed for different applications. Choose a grade intended for your design rather than assuming that all soy, coconut or paraffin waxes are interchangeable.

How much fragrance can I add to candle wax?

Follow the guidance for the exact wax and fragrance oil you are using. There is no single fragrance percentage that applies to the whole collection. Test the finished candle rather than assuming that adding more fragrance will improve its performance.

Where can I find ordering and technical information?

Open the individual product page for its application details, quantities and delivery information. Consult the relevant technical and safety data sheets where available. For clarification before ordering, contact the Kerax team with the product name and your intended use.

We recommend EcoSoya CB-Advanced or Kerawax 4170, both designed for smooth tops, great fragrance performance, and reliable glass adhesion.

4. Does soy wax frost?
